Making the mountain run is a big job – there are literally
thousands of people behind the scenes, in front of the scenes and everywhere
else that keep wheels turning and people smiling. We’re proud to introduce
them to you in this blog series. Today, meet Morgan Broadfoot, Vacation
Sales Specialist.
Morgan's is one of the voices you'll get when calling 1-800-Stratton. Her Vermont-itude is practically contagious while she's manning the phones, planning vacations, booking rooms and setting guests up for an all-around great time on the mountain.

Why are you
selling vacations at Stratton? How long have you been doing your work?
I joined the Stratton team in November 2011, so I’ve been at it for 10
months so far. I want to share my love of the outdoors with everyone! You don't have to
spend an extravagant amount of time and money to get away; there are amazing
experiences waiting in the woods of Vermont. There is nothing more
refreshing and revitalizing than getting to the top of Stratton Mountain just
in time to see the sunrise and then skiing back down to start your day.
Where do you live?
If you can navigate the maze of dirt roads that lead into the woods of Newfane you'll find my home. I share my house with Daniel, my partner of three years, and Albert, a sixteen year old cat who hasn't stopped acting like a kitten. If you pull up to our property at the right time you’ll see a bear, moose or bonfire.

Skis, snowboard, snow tube, snowskate or snowshoes in the
winter?
I prefer the long and slow route to the short and fast one, so you'll find me climbing up the mountain on my Powder Room split board or gliding through the Nordic Center. Unless it’s a powder day - then I'll be a blur of snow spray flying down the mountain.

Favorite
off-mountain thing to do or place to visit?
Every Friday night I go to the Israel Congregation
of Manchester for a potluck dinner. If you're visiting on a Friday come join me
for community, conversation and dinner!
Favorite
trail/run/area to ride on the hill?
This summer I found myself looking up at a Mama bear and her small
cub. Our paths crossed in the Nordic Center trail system, which is my favorite
place to jog and glide on the mountain.
Favorite thing about Southern Vermont?
Southern Vermonters. I've traveled and lived in a number of places: Spain, France, Italy, Israel, Viet Nam, Wyoming, North Carolina, Florida, West Virginia. But I keep finding myself returning to Vermont because of the sense of community, self-reliance and can-do attitude that South Vermonters embody.
