Snowstorm Headed to Stratton

Today (Feb 20) is a good day. It’s been snowing HARD since last night, for a total of 5” and still adding on. Today’s snowfall was a little unexpected, with our Stratton-specific forecast calling for around 3 inches.
Don’t you just love surprises? Watch the snow report video for the day.

And, this just in – another storm’s a-coming for the weekend. While reports are mixed, and of course, the weather-predicting game is always unpredictable, we feel confident in expecting a weekend of epic skiing and snowboarding.

Here’s a forecast round-up from the interwebs:

Wunderground is predicting snowfall to begin on Saturday night (9 inches there) and continuing through Sunday (up to 5 inches) and ending Sunday night (topping off with another 2 inches). That’s a potential storm total of 16 inches, finishing with sunny skies on Monday.

Accuweather and Weather.com are less specific; though the number of snowfall icons is very encouraging.

The Stratton-specific forecast is also playing it safe, calling for a chance of snow on Saturday and Sunday; however, sunny skies on Friday and Monday could spell out ideal ski & ride days.

So stay tuned to your Stratton Snow Report and/or the above websites, tune up those skis and boards and get ready to rock and roll.
