It’s officially 9 weeks until Stratton’s 8th Annual Gobble Gobble Wobble and we can’t wait! If you’re like some of my co-workers in the office you’re already thinking about the race because they’re on the hunt for the best training program. Yes, that’s right, some people are new to running and a 5K (3.1 miles) is something they need to practice and build up stamina for. Lucky for them, and you, Strattons got you covered.

Below is a list of some easy to follow training programs that will get you 5K ready in 9 weeks or less. The workouts are already prepared; 3 days a week, 20-30 minute workouts and you’re done.

1. Couch-to-5K from coolrunning.com
This one’s great because it gives you one extra week to train; this is a 9 week program. Below is a sneak preview of the workouts built into Couch to 5K. Print out the full 9 week training program here! If you’d rather have it more accessible, try their mobile app.

Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

This is an 8 week program that follows the same format as Couch to 5K (3 workouts a week).
