6 Labor Day Activities Kids Will Love

It’s that time of year again. The air is starting to get cooler, the kids are back to school and it’s the unofficial end to summer – Labor Day Weekend. Here at Stratton, we’re celebrating the amazing, warm, carefree Vermont summer with the first ever Summer Village Fest. While we’ve got a packed events list for the weekend, here’s our top picks for the best family fun activities here at Stratton.

  1. Take a scenic gondola ride to the summit. The whole family can ride to the top of the mountain with breathtaking 360 degree views of the green mountains. By Labor Day, you may notice the leaves are starting to change colors! Save by getting your gondola tickets in advance here.

2. Visit the Village for face painting and caricaturist. Transform into a cat, bumble bee, tiger, whatever your creative heart desires with help from the village face painter! Grab a friend and have your quirky portrait drawn by a caricaturist.

3. Say hello to exotic animals from Vermont Museum of Natural History. Don’t miss their birds of prey, live reptiles and more. Kids will learn about where the animals live, their history and ask any questions that come to mind about the fascinating creatures.stratton labor day weekend

4. Get out on the water with a kayak or stand-up paddle board.  Rentals are available all weekend long at First Run Ski Shop in the Village. The experts at First Run will give you inside tips on the best places to use the gear.

    1. Hi Andrew,

We think you may have a different event in mind. We do not host Jim Rice or a KJB summer fan fest. Please let us know if we can answer any more questions.
      Cheers!
