Remember the fearlessness you had as a child? How easy it was to jump head first into dark waters? I’m not sure when or why, but as we grow old, fear grows and hinders our ability to play. I recall a 3-year-old giving me advice, as I stood paralyzed, just the other day saying, “You just do it…like this.” Without hesitation, he stepped of the ledge and disappeared into refreshing waters 20 feet below. His explanation was simple and demonstration flawless. There wasn’t a scared bone in his body. I challenge you to embrace your younger self and visit the Bromley Adventure Park where you can zoom up to 50mph as you drop 700 vertical feet! It’s playtime this summer. For this Venture Vermont, we channeled our inner child at Bromley Mountain. Here’s what you need to know:
Bromley Adventure Park
The Bromley Adventure Park truly satisfies the whole family. Most weekends include free family entertainment with delicious food and drinks served up on the Sun Deck. You can count of a full itinerary of fun daily.
Boasting 65 elements over 5 courses, Bromley’s Aerial Adventure Park is a must try activity. Additionally, there’s also mini golf, bungee trampolines, the Giant Swing, rock climbing and more at the base area. If you’re looking to get some air time, take a ride on the Alpine Slide or Sun Mountain Flyer. The flyer is a favorite that travels at speeds up to 50mph over half a mile with a 700 foot vertical drop! The slide is 2/3 of a mile long with three unique tracks to choose from. Our Adventure Park Package includes a one-day park pass and lodging starting at just $62.
The park is open daily from 10:30am to 5pm until September 7, 2015. From September 8 to October 12, 2015 the park is open weekends and holidays.
Bromley is only 13 miles away from Stratton Mountain. View directions here via Google Earth.

What You’ll Learn
There are a few key things you’ll learn from your visit.
- Bromley knows how to do summer.
- You’ll want to come back year after year with the family for a weekend away.
- There’s always a deal to be found when purchasing adventure tickets.
- The Aerial Adventure Park was rated Best Treetop Play in New England by the Boston Globe.
What to pack & What to wear
Park goers should wear sports attire. I’d suggest leggings or long shorts with a t-shirt or tank top. Sneakers are a must for footwear.
Items you may want to pack include sunglasses, sun screen, wet wipes, a water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sandals and, if you’re going to the Aerial Park, gloves. Work gloves are for you but they turned my palms yellowish making me wish I brought my own.
Suggested Age Range
We suggest ages 4 and up for this Venture Vermont. However, don’t let that stop you from bringing the whole family. Some activities have a height requirement. We feel children 4 years of age and older are more likely to meet those requirements.
“Soaring up to 50mph on the Sun Mountain Flyer was my favorite part. I got to enjoy a great view as I raced Lauren and Cassie to the finish. It was amazing!” – Courtney
“I loved literally hanging around in the trees at the aerial adventure park. Each of the elements presented a new body and mind challenge that kept things exciting and interesting.” – Lauren
“It was so fun racing down through the twists and turns of the alpine slide aside Lauren. Two of the slides are parallel, so you can race against your friends. I don’t think we stopped laughing for the entire ride.” – Cassie
