Stratton Mountain Donates Furniture to 18 Vermont Not-for-Profit Organizations

Furniture from recently renovated base lodge now used in schools, shelters and more

STRATTON MOUNTAIN, VT. – Stratton Mountain donated over 130 tables and over 780 chairs to 18 not-for-profit organizations that are part of the Better Bennington Corporation in Bennington, Vermont. The furniture was used in the Stratton Base Lodge, which recently underwent  a renovation that added over 4,000 square feet to the storied building.

Among the 18 donation recipients are the Bennington Coalition for the Homeless, Bennington Senior Center, Grace Christian School, Northeast Baptist College, the Vermont Arts Exchange and the Bennington Meals on Wheels. 

The Better Bennington Corporation’s mission statement is to “Build, improve and support a vital downtown that benefits our entire community.” Director of the Better Bennington Corporation, John Shannahan, said, “[Stratton’s] donation helps us to accomplish our mission as well as support many other organizations that are vital to our community.”
