5 of HarvestFest Weekend’s Must-Try Brews

HarvestFest Weekend is essentially our Summer/Fall Season finale and we are beyond stoked to have all of you up here to celebrate it with us. On Saturday, October 8 of HarvestFest Weekend we will be holding our Brewfest & Chili Cook-Off event which will feature a number of breweries, chili recipes, and live music options for all to enjoy. With that being said, we decided that we’d like to give you a run-down on some of the brews we are most excited for you to try. Cheers!

Upper Pass Beer Company: Love Seat DIPA with Strata and El Dorado

Calling all hop heads! The first beer we are highlighting is the Love Seat DIPA brewed by Under Pass Beer Company. Love Seat is their rotating double IPA series that features a different set of hops each time its released. The rendition being offered at Brewfest is brewed with Strata and El Dorado hops calling for notes of orange and grapefruit with a light, piney finish. This soft and hazy DIPA comes in at 8% ABV.

Greater Good Brewing Co: Giant Pumpkin Imperial Ale

You didn’t really think we’d have a fall Brewfest without a Pumpkin Ale, did you? Greater Good Brewing Co.’s Giant Pumpkin Imperial Ale has sweet notes of creamy pumpkin pie, supplemented by hints of sugar and spice. It’s not called “Giant Pumpkin” for nothin’, coming in at a hefty 8% ABV.

Outer Limits Brewing: Proctorsville Porter

This one is for all of you dark-beer lovers. On a brisk fall day, what better to sip on than a malty, hop forward porter? Outer Limits went all out and used a hefty amount of brown malt and northern brewer hops (a house favorite), resulting in the extremely smooth and tasty Proctorsville Porter. Be sure to stop by the Outer Limits tent on Saturday to give it a try and be on the lookout as we plan to have this available at Grizzly’s this upcoming Winter Season!

Stowe Cider: Cider Donut

We are excited about this one… the Stowe Cider: Cider Donut. Sweetness from the brown sugar comes through initially and then finishes with the perfect amount of apple tartness to create an unforgettable cider that keeps you coming back for more. The classic flavor of a cider donut comes through in each sip and the end result is a crushable 5% semi-dry and gluten free cider.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids: Mad River Maple Amber Ale

Lawson’s Finest Liquids continues to churn out high-quality brews all year-round such as Sip of Sunshine and Scrag Mountain Pils. They’ve recently implemented a new brew to their “signature liquids”: The Mad River Maple Amber Ale. This Amber Ale is loaded with 100% pure Vermont maple syrup making for a sweet and smooth experience from start to finish. The Mad River Maple Amber Ale is another heavy hitter at 8% ABV.

Welp, now we’re thirsty! And we hope you are too. All of these offerings will be available at our Brewfest and Chili Cook-Off event while supplies last. Now it’s time to dig out those flannels and cruise on up for a good time with friends, family, craft beer, hot food, and live music at HarvestFest Weekend.

Happy fall, ya’ll! Be sure to stay up to date with all of our Stratton blog posts. See you soon.
