Things To Do During Labor Day Weekend

It’s hard to believe that Labor Day Weekend is almost here. Year after year, our team plans a fun-filled weekend that features a variety of family-friendly events and activities. Check out the full rundown below!

Friday, 8/30

Stratton Foundation Charity Golf Outing, 1PM-5:30PM

Come out and hit the greens fore a great cause at the annual Stratton Foundation Charity Golf Outing. Sign up as a foursome, or as an individual and the Stratton Foundation will pair you with another group. Proceeds for this event help provide daily necessities such as food, warmth, access to health care and opportunities for education to local Vermont families.

Saturday, 8/31

Stratton Mountain Music: Summit Sessions, 7PM-10PM

We are excited to have Saints and Liars alongside Griffin William Sherry from Ghost of Paul Revere play at the Summit Yoga Deck on Saturday evening of Labor Day Weekend. Take a scenic trip up on the Gondola and stroll over to the Yoga Deck where you can enjoy live tunes and breath-taking views, up close and personal with the starry Vermont sky.

Saturday, 8/31-Sunday, 9/1

Mountain Top Yoga, 11AM-12:30PM

Our 90-minute Mountain Top Yoga classes are a perfect way to start the day. Soar to the Summit in the Gondola and head over to the Yoga Deck to find your zen. There really is nothing quite like a mellow Yoga sesh at the Summit. Be sure to arrive at least 25 minutes prior to class to ensure you have enough time to check-in, ride to the summit and get settled on the deck before class – The Gondola ride is approximately 15 min to the summit.

Kids Fire Tower Hike, 10:30AM-1PM

The kiddos will love this fun and light 1.5 mile round trip hike to the Fire Tower, notorious for providing some of the best views on the resort. They will be guided by one of our awesome Stratton team members who will lead the pack there and back. A snack break will commence on the Hubert Haus deck before heading back down on the Gondola. Ages 6-12.

Sunday, 9/1

Blues, Brews and BBQ, 11:30AM-5:30PM

Get ready for a day full of live music, local craft beverages and tasty BBQ offerings at our annual Blues, Brews and BBQ event. You can look forward to hearing tunes from Dave Dominick, Misty Blues and Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers. As for the brews (and ciders), there will be a number of local, top-industry breweries and cideries on-site including Frost Beer Works, Stowe Cider and Lawsons Finest Liquids. Last pour is at 5PM. For food, you can pre-purchase a BBQ plate, or take advantage of our other dining options such as Grizzly’s, BaseCamp and the Hog Heaven BBQ food truck.

If the kids are looking for something to do while the grown-ups have some grown-up fun, be sure to look into signing them up for our Blues, Brews and BBQ Kids Adventure Camp where they can enjoy a day of hiking, crafts and other fun summer camp activities. Ages 6-12.
