Trail Maintenance

Beginning May 19, the Vermont-based company and original builders of the bike park, Sinuosity Flowing Trails, will be returning to their creation to spruce up the existing eight trails, and get them ready to roll for the opening day of the Bike Park, Friday, May 28. The lifts will be spinning all weekend long for Memorial Day Weekend, Friday through Monday.

Operating Hours and New Trials

Additional riding days are also new to the Bike Park for Summer 2021. While the Bike Park always opens on Mondays of holiday weekends, new for this season are additional Friday evening hours. The Bike Park will open on Friday, May 28 from 1pm to 5pm. Friday evening operations then resume July 2 through early September. For the most up-to-date operating hours and park updates, be sure to check here as these hours are subject to change.

After dialing in spring maintenance on all eight existing trails, Sinuosity will break ground on two new trails in the Stratton Bike Park, kicking off Phase 2 of the park build. The second phase of three builds will include a black diamond trail and a blue square. This variety of terrain perfectly shadows the existing trails at Stratton, as a welcoming bike park that is fun for beginners to experts, and everyone in between.

Among the new trails, the black diamond/expert will be built as a race trail. This trail will be more technical to ride, containing longer sections of rock gardens, faster pitches, higher berms, and require superior technique and riding ability. The second trail, a blue/intermediate-rated trail, will be mostly hand-built and will run parallel to Styles Brook. This single-track style trail will be unlike any other existing trail at Stratton and serves as a step up for new riders, or an enjoyable all-day lap trail for the more experienced. The Phase 2 trails are expected to open in July. Stratton’s two new trails will bring the total trail count up to 9 downhill trails, and one uphill climbing trail.
