Nothing like a tasty beer or cider and hot cup of chili on a crisp fall day in the mountains. Stratton’s annual BrewFest and Chili Cook-Off is next weekend and we can’t wait to see all of you up here. In preparation of the October festivities, we decided to put together a list of 5 beers and ciders we think you should sample during BrewFest. Whether you’re an IPA fanatic or prefer sipping on a cider, there’s bound to be something that you’ll enjoy.
UFO Beer: Pumpkin
We know how much the masses love a Pumpkin Beer this time of year. To create this tasty offering, UFO took their fall-spiced hefeweizen and added in pure pumpkin for that traditional fall flavor. Enjoy notes of real pumpkin and savory spices while sipping on these seasonal suds.
Pumpkin Beer, 5.9% ABV.
Shacksbury Cider: Sweater Weather
Not into beer? No worries! Shacksbury Cider has got you covered with their special edition, barrel-aged Sweater Weather Cider that has notes of warming spices and vanilla. Some even said hints of apple pie… yummmm.
Cider, 8% ABV.
The Shed Brewery: Shed Mountain Hazy IPA
The Haze Craze is undoubtedly real so you know dang well there will be some NEIPAs present next weekend. This one is brewed with Galaxy, Citra, and Simcoe resulting in tasty notes of tropical citrus. The Shed Brewery, “Brewed for adventure, this IPA is as vibrant and fresh as the Green Mountain air.”
NEIPA, 6.6% ABV
Upper Pass Beer Company: Cashmere Hoodie
Whether you’re a beer snob or an occasional sipper, most can appreciate a quality Pale Ale. Per Upper Pass Beer Company, “Cashmere hoodie is our newest pale ale hopped with Cashmere and Centennial. With a lower ABV, this medium-bodied, slightly hazy pale ale was brewed to be an easy drinker.”

14th Star: Oktoberfest
A BrewFest in October… it’s only right. 14th Star’s rendition of Oktoberfest is just one of many that will be available to try next weekend.
