Best Dance Party

Why: The energy was electric as young and old alike packed the dance floor. A surprise hit of the night? Black sparkle cowboy hats that had everyone grinning, perfectly complemented by their flawlessly executed glow stick game, painting the room in streaks of light.

Best Sky/View

  • Josh & Jenna
  • September 28th, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Yoga Deck
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Maple Leaf Photography

Why: Mother Nature truly put on a show for Jenna & Josh. The sky was full of unbelievable color, hinting at drama but ultimately holding back, creating a magnificent and memorable atmosphere just for them. This breathtaking display, set against the backdrop of the season’s rich foliage, painted the most dramatic sky of the season.

Best Foliage

Why: Foliage in Vermont is like nothing you have ever seen before. Their photos at the golf course were stunning. Just WOW.

Best Dessert

  • Angela & Alex
  • September 29th, 2023
  • Wedding Ceremony: Chapel of the Snows
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Ali Kaukas

Why: Seriously the dessert spread at the wedding was amazing, but the real star of the show? Definitely the donuts from our local gem, Willoughby’s. People were making a beeline for them! The chocolate chip cookie dough filled ones? Forget about it – pure heaven and totally addictive. But honestly, you absolutely cannot talk about Willoughby’s without mentioning their famous maple creme. Those things are legendary. I saw so many people going back for seconds (and maybe thirds!)

Best Sweetest Moment

  • Scott & Celeste
  • October 6th, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Yoga Deck
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: PiksbyVik

Why: Scotts grandmother shared a sweet moment with Celeste before she walked him down the aisle. Her pure joy was infectious throughout the entire ceremony.

Best Groomsmen Gift

  • Colin & Brian
  • June 22nd, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Timber Hall
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Melissa Lynn

Why/What: Forget ties and cufflinks! This wedding season’s hottest groomsmen gift? Seriously cool, personalized engraved axes that Colin and Brian gifted their crew. Talk about a memorable way to say ‘thanks for standing by our side’! These weren’t just gifts; they were a statement.

Best Centerpiece

  • Anne & Mackenzie
  • September 27th, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Commons Lawn
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Maple Leaf Photography

Why: They made the most adorable Mountain Centerpieces completed with a gondola lit up by sparkle lights. They used all the mountains in the area for their centerpieces and it was quite the conversation starter.

Best Pivot

  • Nick & Afton
  • September 16th, 2023
  • Wedding Ceremony: Mid Mountain
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Megan Niger

Why: They were supposed to get married at the summit but due to Hurricane Lee and insane winds the gondola was not able to run. They quickly pivoted to a standing only mid mountain ceremony. It was the first time we have ever done a ceremony there and it was one of our favorite locations and views since.

Best Wedding Exit

  • Christine & Conner
  • August 31st, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Yoga Deck
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Ali Kaukas

Why: After everyone else had their dances, Christine & Conner had this super sweet, private last dance. Then, as they left, all the guests lit up sparklers – it was such a magical send-off! Definitely a moment they’ll cherish forever.

Best Pet Involvement

  • Natalie & Jochim
  • September 14th, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Chapel of the Snows
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club

Why: Their pup, Barney, was the center of attention in his little tuxedo! He joined them for photos and then was also very present at the reception with wiener dog escort cards and fat heads for the dance party!

Best Floral Design

  • Natalie & Jochim
  • September 14th, 2024
  • Wedding Ceremony: Chapel of the Snows
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
  • Photographer: Todd Stoliov
  • Florist: Florals by Cara

Why: The floral design at Natalie & Jochim’s wedding was next level! They had this incredible chandelier dripping with the most dramatic, hanging flowers. And the centerpieces? Each one was a masterpiece, an absolute showstopper. Those flowers really brought the whole space to life and made it feel so special.

Best Winter Wedding

  • Lauren & Zak
  • March 8th, 2025
  • Wedding Ceremony: Chapel of the Snows
  • Wedding Reception: Wentworth Room
  • Photographer: Alyssa Parker

Why: This one is going down in the books, their post-ceremony ski run, her in a cloud of white, carving through the snow as husband and wife. Then, a romantic chairlift ride up, leading to their first shared treat at the Waffle Cabin, all under a gentle snowfall. This winter wedding was the definition of perfection.

Best Outfit Change

  • Morgan & Jesse
  • November 21, 2023
  • Wedding ceremony: Chapel of the Snows
  • Wedding Reception: Table 43.1

Why: Morgan and Jesse took the outfit change very seriously and got matching bride and groom sweat suits. It was a total surprise to their guests when they made their grand entrance cozy style, meanwhile we got 3 inches of snow that night so it was the perfect outfit to exit in style.

Best DIY

  • Michael & Michelle
  • June 10th, 2023
  • Wedding Ceremony: Yoga Deck
  • Wedding Reception: Stratton Mountain Club
