Due to a modernization project on the American Express chairlift, lift access mountain biking will be delayed until July 4th weekend. While we were hoping to welcome you back for another summer of park laps starting Memorial Day Weekend, this necessary upgrade will ensure that we can enjoy lots more uninterrupted mountain biking moving forward!
Alright, moving past the news about the lift, lets get into all the great things we have happening this summer at Stratton Bike Park!
New Trails!
Sinuosity is back for another summer of building trails and expanding our Bike Park!! We’ll be adding 5 new trails this summer including a dedicated climbing trail! Below you’ll find brief desciptions of all of our new trails courtesy of the Sinuosity team:

“Ground Control” – Climbing Trail – 1.3 miles winding up from the base area to the top of the Amex lift.
“Hibernator” – Sun Bowl Trail -This trail will be a fast, and fun “enduro” style trail with a slightly steeper pitch than Bear’s Den. It will be a hybrid of machine-built flow sections mixed with natural tech and raw loam.
“Maybe Later” – Rocks under Amex -The trail will take riders through a steep and chunky rock garden and off an iconic rock drop under the Amex lift. There will be a series of north shore style bridges and a rollable down ramp off the big rock drop.
“Mittens” – Bermie Sanders Alt – This trail will branch off to the rider’s right of Bermie and provide a series of new berms and flowy machine built trail sections.
“Return to Sender” – Paper Route Ext – This will be a hand built trail that runs parallel to the Lower Wander ski trail.
Trail Work is underway!
Rest assured that our Bike Park trail crew team is out in full force getting the trails back in order to make sure that we’re 100% open when we start spinning the lift in July. Last spring we posted a great blog that went into detail about all of the work that goes into putting the park back together each spring. Here’s a link in case you missed it: The Unsung Heroes of Stratton Bike Park

Uphill Travel
Did you know that Stratton allows uphill access at the Bike Park outside of operating hours? Heck yea we do! You can learn all about our uphill policy by clicking this link: Stratton Uphill Travel Policy
‼️As stated above, we’re working hard to get the trails rebuilt for the summer season. Please help us in our efforts by staying off of the trails until they’re officially openened on the Mountain Report and on Trail Forks. We will update both of these as soon as each trail is ready to go. ‼️

One other thing to note, if there’s a rope up at the start of a trail, please stay off. The trail crew will close trails periodically as they get into maintenance projects. These closures are for your safety and the safety of our trail crew.
Lastly, if you’re out riding and you run into the trail crew, please stop and say hello. They’re a friendly bunch who always appreciate a thank you from fellow riders for all their hard work. 😊
