Spring at Stratton means sunshine, soft turns, and a calendar packed with events. From charity rides to pond skims and music festivals, there’s something happening almost every weekend this spring. Whether you’re looking to ride for a cause, celebrate snowboard history, or enjoy spring laps with friends, here’s what’s coming up this spring at Stratton.
24 Hours of Stratton | March 14-15, 2026
One of the most meaningful and unique events of the season returns March 14-15 for the 14th Annual 24 Hours of Stratton. This incredible weekend brings together hundreds of skiers and riders from across New England for nearly nonstop skiing and riding on illuminated trails from 8:30 AM Saturday through sunrise Sunday. It’s more than just a fun endurance challenge, the event raises funds for The Stratton Foundation, which supports programs addressing hunger, health, education, and basic necessities for children across Vermont. Since its start in 2012, the event has raised more than $3.5 million to help children overcome the challenges of poverty and build strong foundations for the future.

#Shred4Nate Memorial Race | March 14, 2026
Also taking place during the 24 Hours weekend is the 8th Annual #Shred4Nate Memorial Alpine Race, held on March 14 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Hosted by The Stratton Foundation, this slalom race honors Nate and raises funds for youth mental health programs throughout southern Vermont. The event welcomes racers of all levels from U12 through Masters, bringing the community together for a meaningful day on the mountain. In addition to the race, #Shred4Nate continues to expand its mental health outreach through programs like Youth Mental Health First Aid training for local school professionals and initiatives that connect thousands of young people with mental wellness resources. Proceeds benefit The Stratton Community Foundation and its mission to support the health, safety, and well-being of youth across the region.
A Day for Jake | March 14, 2026
On March 14, Stratton joins the global snowboarding community in celebrating A Day for Jake, a tribute to snowboarding pioneer Jake Burton Carpenter. From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, riders are invited to spend the day honoring Jake’s legacy through what he loved most: snowboarding with friends. Stop by the Burton Store in the village between 9 AM and 12 PM for a vibe check, high-fives, and a limited A Day for Jake sticker pack while supplies last. Riders will gather at Mid-Mountain Lodge at 12:30 PM before dropping in together down Suntanner at 1:13 PM for the iconic group ride. The celebration continues with an après-style hangout at the Burton Store featuring DJ Dave Morris from 3-5 PM, bringing music, community, and good vibes to close out the day. Ride on, Jake.

HOMESICK | March 20-22, 2026
From March 20-22, Stratton hosts the fourth annual HOMESICK, a celebration of snowboard culture, history, and progression presented by East Street Archives. Over three days, the mountain becomes a hub for riders, legends, pros, and the next generation of snowboarders to come together where the sport first gained momentum. Guests can watch on-snow competitions, explore the Vintage Board Room, and experience The Dawning exhibit highlighting the early days of snowboarding. The weekend also features snowboard demos, book signings with influential figures in the sport, live music, and plenty of opportunities to ride with friends both new and old. HOMESICK blends nostalgia with the future of snowboarding, making it a must-attend weekend for anyone who rides sideways.

Lunar Laps | March 20, 2026
For one special evening on March 20 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Stratton flips the switch on night skiing and riding. American Express will spin under the lights, for the rare chance to experience Stratton after dark with illuminated laps on Lower Standard and Suntanner. Night tickets are $35 plus tax, with discounted $20 tickets for Vermont residents, while Ikon Pass and Stratton Season Pass holders can enjoy the event for free. It’s a unique opportunity to squeeze in a few extra runs and see the mountain in a completely different light.
Spring Fling Pond Skim | March 28, 2026
Spring at Stratton wouldn’t be complete without the annual Spring Fling Pond Skim on March 28 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants will attempt to glide across a pond in the base area, trying to make it across without taking a plunge. Costumes are highly encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Skim, and Best Crash, also known as “You Got Pickled.” Registration costs $45, and participants must check in at the main base lodge between 8:00 and 9:00 AM to receive their bib and event t-shirt. Helmets are required, and each participant must have a valid lift ticket or season pass. Whether you’re skimming or spectating, it’s one of the most entertaining events of the spring season.

Golden Watermelon Hunt | April 4, 2026
On April 4 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Stratton’s annual Golden Watermelon Hunt kicks off to search the mountain for a hidden prize with a big reward. Beginning at 8:30 AM, clues will be released every hour via Stratton’s social media channels and through Guest Services to help narrow down the mystery location. The lucky person who finds the Golden Watermelon will win a 2026–2027 Stratton Select Pass. Only one winner will be crowned, so keep your eyes open on the slopes, you never know where it might appear.
Gather Outdoors Music Festival | April 11-12, 2026
Closing out the spring event calendar is Gather Outdoors, a two-day music festival taking place April 11-12 at the base of the Mountain. The festival blends skiing, art, and live music into one high energy weekend featuring two stages and a lineup spanning house, bass, jam, and electronic music. Daily programming runs from mid-afternoon into the evening, making it easy to spend the day skiing before heading straight into après sets and night performances. Be sure to book on-resort lodging early, as rooms fill quickly, and use code GatherFest26 when reserving your stay.
