Your Guide To Après At Stratton Mountain

There is nothing quite like a cold drink and a hot appetizer after a long day of tearing up the slopes. We are stoked to offer a number of fun après-ski spots here at Stratton, whether you’re posted up at the Sun Bowl or hanging in the Main Base Area, there is bound to be a place for you, friends and family to wind down and drink up. We’ll go from left to right starting at the Sun Bowl Base Lodge Bar and ending up at Grizzly’s in the Main Base Lodge. Cheers!

Sun Bowl Base Lodge Bar

A true hidden gem – the Sun Bowl Base Lodge has a cozy bar fixated upstairs where you can find a variety of draught and canned beers as well as all of your liquors for yummy mixed drinks. Hanging above the bar are assorted snacks for ease of access and depending on what time you’re there, you can grab a hot meal downstairs where they serve up smash burgers, chicken tenders, french fries, salads and more. If you are over in the Sun Bowl Thursday-Monday, be sure to pay Joey a visit at the Sun Bowl bar.

Mid Mountain Lodge

Mid-Mountain Lodge is our only on-piste bar location, but arguably the most fun on the resort to patronize. Whether it’s good ol’ Mid Mtn Rob, Al or Jack behind the bar, you’re bound to share some laughs and head back to the slopes in a better mood than you were in before you stepped inside. Mid Mountain Lodge also has a sizable dining area and serves up some unbelievable BBQ pulled pork or brisket loaded tater tots along with your classic resort fare. Spend a little time on the mountain at Mid Mountain Lodge.

The Fire Tower

Located in the Village and named after the iconic fire tower that sits atop the Stratton summit, this high-end spot serves classic comfort dishes inspired by Vermont artisans in a rustic and relaxing dining room. Enjoy après ski drinks by the fire pits, share small plates at the bar or savor an intimate dining experience at a big table. Unique selection of Vermont craft beer and an equally impressive array of wine and cocktails.

Upper Standard Coffee Co.

New to the Stratton Village this season is Upper Standard Coffee Company located right next to Bar 802. There’s nothing like a warm cup of joe or a sweet hot coco on a cold Vermont day at the resort. Upper Standard Coffee Company is your one stop shop for hot and cold, fresh-brewed coffee, Belgian Liège Waffles made on site, pastries, ice cream and more. You may be asking, why is this spot on the après guide? Welp, Upper Standard now offers delectable Espresso Martinis and gourmet Bloody Marys. Stop in and give ’em a try!

Benedict’s

We assume you can guess what Benedict’s is best known for. What many aren’t as familiar with is their awesome après scene. Stop in and plop down at the full bar where you can enjoy a hot meal paired with number of tasty brews, ciders and mixed drinks. On select Fridays and Saturdays there is late-night live music with food and drink specials.

The Drift

Enjoy the mountain views while soaking in the heat from our new covered outdoor bar. Our Douglas Fir Canopy features fire pits and ceiling heaters to take the cold out of the day. Our full outdoor bar features Vermont craft beer selections, Prosecco, wines and The Drift’s very own specialty cocktail menu. Take the chill away with “The Bomb” (hot eggnog & brandy) inspired by the Italian Alps, House Infused Vodka Bloody Mary or our famous Hot Mulled Wine. Après with the best of them with a live DJ from 3:30pm to 6:30pm every Saturday.

Mulligans

Take a seat at the main bar, which boasts fine beers and ales, magnificent margaritas, a varied and growing wine list and Stratton’s biggest selection of house-infused Bloody Marys. Head on up to the fireside loft and the Whi-Ski Bar, featuring cask-aged rare and fine bourbons and ryes. The giant appetizer menu features all your favorites and a few surprises. Entrees range from salads to steaks with nightly specials and a kid’s menu.

The Green Door Pub

Hitting up the Green Door Pub should be at the top of your après to-do list when visiting Stratton. Located below Mulligan’s, the GDP is known for its divey yet welcoming vibes that we all know and love. The walls are plastered with cheeky bumper stickers and snowboard relics rich in history. During midweek they offer free wings, nachos and a discounted steak dinner paired with a tasty brew of your choosing. Pool Tables, Foosball, Big Buck Hunter, Live Music, Wing Buckets, Beers, Jäger and Fireball on tap, and home to the $4 Narragansett. The rug really brings the room together – come on down to the 1-star bar!

Carve

Carve, Stratton’s high-end dining destination is a prime spot to grab a bite and drinks after taking some turns. Order cocktails and small dishes from a limited menu at their first come, first served après which take place at the bar from 3PM-5PM. Reservation-based dinner follows from 5PM-10PM where you can decide from a robust menu that features a number of cuts of beef, along with fresh seafood, pasta, and seasonally inspired specialties.

Grizzly’s

Conveniently located in the Main Base Lodge, Grizzly’s is open for lunch, dinner and take out with a complete menu of tasty Vermont fare and daily drink specials. “Vermont is known for its barns, which is why local barnlike woods were woven into Grizzly’s design for a rustic vibe, perfect for après-ski. Live music takes advantage of the timber framing and vaulted ceilings” – Architectural Digest. Grizzly’s is home to the best view around and a local favorite for a place to relax and recap your day on the slopes. It’s the bar at the base, baby.
