As you cruise up the access road you may notice that the trees are beginning to pop with reds, oranges and yellows and we are absolutely here for it. Soon enough the mountain will be exploding in color, just another step closer to the winter season. Although we aren’t there quite yet, you still do not want to miss out on the breath-taking foliage season and all of our fall events. From free live music to our Annual BrewFest and Chili Cook-Off, there is bound to be something for you and the family to enjoy.
Free Live Music
Unwind where rhythm meets the mountains and catch free live music in the Main Base Area as part of our Stratton Mountain Music Series. Food will be available at a number of locations including Grizzly’s and BaseCamp. Leashed dogs are allowed in the Main Base Area during free live music. Please feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets as provided seating is limited. These concerts will be held rain or shine! In the event of inclement weather, the band will be moved into Grizzly’s, so plan on coming up for a great time no matter the weather.

HarvestFest Weekend is going down October 10-14 here at Stratton Mountain. We’ve got lots of fun family-friendly events and activities planned including our annual BrewFest and Chili Cook-Off, Vendor Markets, The North Face Race to the Summit, and new this year, Oktoberfest. Come up and enjoy a foliage-filled weekend with us!
Have the kiddos with ya? No worries! We’ve got them covered with face painting, balloon art, rock climbing, adventure camps, mountain biking camps, fire tower hikes and more.
BrewFest and Chili Cook-Off: Saturday, October 12
Our annual BrewFest and Chili Cook-Off continues to be a fan favorite when it comes to our fall events. Top breweries and cideries come from near and far to pour their seasonal offerings into your commemorative 2024 HarvestFest Weekend glass. So, who will be on-site?

Our talented chefs put together a variety of chili options which you can sample and pair with your favorite craft beverages. Be sure to vote on which chili you enjoyed most and stay tuned to our social media for the results!

While you sip, snack and kick back for the weekend, enjoy live music on the outdoor stage from Fritz’s Polka Band, The Mallett Brothers Band and The Sensational Soul Cruisers, in front of scenic Fall foliage. Saturday’s Brewfest will run from 11:30AM to 5:30PM, with doors at 11:30AM and the last pours at 5PM.
Oktoberfest: Sunday, October 13
The fall festivities carry over into Sunday with Octoberfest. This event includes beer sampling with a commemorative beer sampling glass, live music from Dave Domenick and High and Mighty Brass Band, a stein hoisting competition, a keg toss contest, beer brats, food and more. The same breweries and cideries that are here on Saturday will return to pour their offerings for Sunday’s Oktoberfest. While this event is geared toward 21+ adults, all ages are welcome at Oktoberfest.
The North Face Race to the Summit: Monday, October 14
Round out your holiday weekend with The North Face Race to the Summit. In past years, the first frost of the season has been visible on the racing route, and especially at the summit. Experience this all while getting a great work out in on Monday of HarvestFest Weekend. Racers may ride the gondola back down to the base area after the run is completed. The top male and top female runners will be awarded an Ikon Base Pass. First, Second and Third place in each age category, male and female, will receive a medal and a Stratton Prize.
Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K: Thursday, November 28
Pre-burn off some of those turkey meal calories and sign up for the the 2024 Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K. The race begins at 9AM – participants must check in by 8:15AM. There will be no day of registration for this event. Please register in advance. Costumes are welcome! Prizes will be awarded to the Best Costume and our youngest and oldest participant!
Thanksgiving Dinner at Table 43.1: Thursday, November 28
Want to spend your Thanksgiving in the mountains? Table 43.1 will be offering a delectable Thanksgiving feast for the whole family to enjoy on Thursday, November 28. There will be two seating’s – one at 4PM and another at 6:15PM. Spots for this dinner are extremely limited so please be sure to make a reservation in advance.
