
Summer is rolling along at Stratton, and this weekend brings mountain bike races, group rides, brunch above the base area, an outdoor movie and plenty of ways to explore Southern Vermont’s highest peak. Whether you’re here to ride, relax or spend time with the family, here’s what’s happening around the mountain from Friday through Sunday.
Tour De Glaze Mountain Bike Race
Start Saturday with a ride—and a few donuts—during the Tour De Glaze Mountain Bike Race. This timed cross-country race sends riders up Ground Control and down Trail Forest 1, with each lap covering approximately 2.5 miles.
The twist? Each donut eaten at the designated station takes five minutes off your total race time. Beginner, Sport, Expert and E-Bike categories are available, with prizes awarded to the top finishers.

Stratton x VMBA Day
Spend Saturday riding with the Vermont mountain bike community while enjoying organized group rides, raffles, giveaways, sponsor tents and Strava challenges on Fox Trot and Paper Route. A beginner-friendly downhill group ride meets at the VMBA tent at 11AM. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Active VMBA members can use the downhill lift ticket included with their 2026 membership, while active NEMBA members can also ride free with a valid membership.

Mid Mountain Chairlift Brunch
Did someone say brunch? Saturday’s Mid Mountain Chairlift Brunch is a one-of-a-kind mountain dining experience.
Check in at Guest Services before boarding the American Express chairlift for a scenic ride to Mid Mountain Lodge. Once there, settle in for an open-air brunch buffet featuring a mini-pancake bar, live acoustic music and mountain views. A cash bar will also be available with brunch favorites including mimosas, Bloody Marys and Irish coffee. Reservations are recommended in advance.

Coca-Cola Movie Night: Moana 2
Wrap up Saturday with a free outdoor showing of Moana 2 in the Main Base Lodge Area. Bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a family-friendly movie under the stars. Concessions will be available in the screening area, and outside food and beverages are not permitted. Leashed pets are welcome.

Frendly Gathering Music Festival
The Frendly Gathering Music Festival takes place Friday and Saturday at Timber Ridge in Windham. Stratton is serving as a lodging home base for festival guests, with discounted lodging and daily shuttle service between the resort and festival venue.

Stratton Bike Park
The Stratton Bike Park is open Thursday through Monday from 10AM to 4PM, offering more than 10 miles of lift-served downhill terrain for a range of riding abilities.
Daily lift tickets, rentals, lessons and guided rides are available. Saturday’s Tour De Glaze and Stratton x VMBA Day will bring additional activity to the mountain, so riders should remain aware of event participants, trail signage and any temporary route changes.

Sun Bowl Bike Park Shuttle
Bike Park shuttle service is available Saturday and Sunday for riders finishing their laps in the Sun Bowl. Riders will be picked up at the bus stop near the Sun Bowl Base Lodge and transported back to the Main Base Area.

Shuttles arrive promptly at the listed times and depart five minutes later. Riders should allow approximately 10 to 20 minutes to reach the Sun Bowl bus stop from the top of American Express. The 9:45AM shuttle is also a convenient option for guests parked in the Sun Bowl who want to begin their day in the Main Base Area before ending with a long ride back to their vehicle.

Scenic Lift Rides
Take in panoramic summer views with a Scenic Gondola Ride to the summit of Southern Vermont’s highest peak. At the top, hike to the historic fire tower, explore the summit trails, enjoy a picnic or take in views stretching across Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York.
Scenic Lift Rides are available Thursday through Monday from 10AM to 5PM. The last Gondola cabin heads up at 4:30PM, and the last ride back to the base area is at 4:45PM.
Golf at Stratton
Book a tee time and spend the day on Stratton’s 27-hole golf course, featuring the Mountain, Forest and Lake nines.
Whether you’re fitting in a quick nine or settling in for a full day on the course, each nine offers a different layout surrounded by Green Mountain views. Tee times can be reserved through Stratton’s online booking portal or the Membership Online Portal.
UTV Tours
Looking for a different way to reach the summit? UTV Tours depart from the Sun Bowl and travel along winding mountain roads to the highest peak in Southern Vermont.
The guided experience lasts approximately 70 minutes round-trip and includes time at the summit for views and photos. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and present a valid driver’s license. Closed-toe shoes are required for all drivers and passengers.

Mountain Top Yoga
Start Saturday or Sunday morning with a 90-minute yoga class at the summit. Mountain Top Yoga takes place on Stratton’s wooden summit deck and includes a Gondola ride to and from class.
Classes run from 11AM to 12:30PM, and preregistration is required. Participants should arrive approximately 25 minutes early to check in, ride the Gondola and walk to the yoga deck.
CLIMB Indoor Climbing Gym
Add a climbing session to your weekend at CLIMB, Stratton’s indoor climbing gym in the Village. The gym offers auto-belay climbing and bouldering options for a variety of ages and experience levels.
Climbing sessions last 60 minutes, and reservations are recommended. Climbers must be at least five years old and meet the applicable weight requirements to use the auto-belay system.
Village Shops
The Village Shops are open Thursday through Monday with summer apparel, outdoor gear, gifts and new seasonal arrivals.
Take a break between activities to stroll through the Village, browse the shops and pick up anything you need for another day on the mountain.

Green Apron
Located at the Stratton Golf Course, Green Apron serves lunch and dinner alongside views of the 18th green.

Friday Special: $15 Fish Fry-Day featuring Fish & Chips with a draft beer. New England lobster rolls are also available while supplies last.
Saturday Special: $20 New York Strip Steak Frites from 5PM to 8PM.
Sunday Special: Slow Smoker Sundays from 4PM to 8PM, featuring an all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet for $30 per adult. Children under 10 eat free with the purchase of an adult plate. Sammy Blanchette performs live from 5PM to 8PM.

Benedicts serves breakfast all day alongside burgers, sandwiches, cocktails and brunch favorites.
