
Another summer weekend is here at Southern Vermont’s highest peak, and there’s plenty happening from base to summit. Shop local at the Farmers Market, take brunch to Mid Mountain, catch free live music, get Zen at Mountain Top Yoga or spend the weekend tearing up the Bike Park. Plus, Sunday morning brings another chance to hit the trails with your four-legged friend. Here’s what’s happening at Stratton from August 14-16.
Farmers Market
Spend Saturday browsing local Vermont goods at the Stratton Farmers Market in the Village Courtyard. A rotating lineup of local vendors, makers and artists will be set up throughout the day with crafts, gifts, jewelry, food items and more.

Mid-Mountain Chairlift Brunch
Start Saturday with brunch above the Base Area. Board American Express for a scenic chairlift ride before making the short walk to Mid Mountain Lodge, where an open-air buffet, live acoustic music and Green Mountain views are waiting.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, soft drinks are included and a cash bar will be serving brunch favorites including mimosas, Bloody Marys and Irish coffee. Reservations are recommended in advance.

Women’s Mountain Bike 2-Day Camp
Ride, learn and progress alongside other women during Stratton’s two-day Women’s Mountain Bike Camp. Designed for riders ages 15 and older, the camp offers a welcoming environment whether you’re just getting into downhill mountain biking, looking to sharpen your skills or simply hoping to meet more women to ride with.
No bike? No problem. Discounted two-day bike rentals and Bike Park lift tickets are available with camp registration.

Mountain Top Yoga
Take your weekend flow all the way to the summit with Mountain Top Yoga. Ride the Gondola to Southern Vermont’s highest peak and settle onto the wooden summit deck for a 90-minute outdoor class surrounded by mountain views.
Each class includes Gondola access to and from the summit. Participants should arrive at least 25 minutes early to check in, ride to the top and make the short walk to the yoga deck. Preregistration is required, and don’t forget to bring water for class.

Summer Music in the Base Area
Saturday afternoon brings live music in the Main Base Area. Grab a spot outside and enjoy a free performance from Jay Yaegar from 3PM to 5PM. The show is free and scheduled to take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, music may be moved inside to Grizzly’s.

The North Face Tails and Trails Hike Series – Sun Bowl
Grab the leash and start Sunday morning on the trails with The North Face Tails and Trails Hike Series. This week’s guided hike heads from the Main Base Area to the Sun Bowl using lower-mountain trails including Village Walk, Home Run and 91. Once the group reaches Sun Bowl, a shuttle will bring hikers and their four-legged friends back to the Main Base Area.
No dog? No problem. Everyone is welcome to join the hike. Dogs must remain leashed, and hikers should bring water, wear proper footwear and dress for changing mountain conditions.
Don’t forget your Tails and Trails Paws-Port. Participate in five hikes throughout the season and you’ll be entered to win a North Face prize bag and Stratton merchandise.
The hike is free, but advance registration is encouraged.

Golf at Stratton
Make time for a round on Stratton’s 27-hole championship golf course, featuring the Mountain, Forest and Lake nines. Whether you’re fitting in nine holes or making a full day of it, there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the course throughout the weekend.
Before teeing off or heading back out for another nine, make a stop at the BevBridge. Designed to resemble a classic Vermont covered bridge, golfers can drive their carts right through, grab cold drinks, snacks and refreshments, and get right back to the course. The BevBridge is open Thursday through Sunday.

Stratton Bike Park
Summer riding is in full swing at the Stratton Bike Park. With more than 10 miles of lift-served downhill terrain, riders can find everything from fast, flowy berms to technical trails across the mountain. Daily lift tickets, bike rentals, lessons and guided rides are available, making it easy to spend a few hours riding or turn the Bike Park into the main event of your weekend.

Sun Bowl Bike Park Shuttle
Taking your lap all the way to Sun Bowl on Bear’s Den or Hibernator? Weekend shuttle service makes it easy to get back to the Main Base Area without cutting the adventure short.
Riders can catch the shuttle near the Sun Bowl Base Lodge four times each Saturday and Sunday.

Scenic Lift Rides
Slow things down and take in the view with a Scenic Gondola Ride to the summit of Southern Vermont’s highest peak. Once you arrive, explore the summit trails, hike to the historic fire tower, pack a picnic or simply take in the Green Mountain views.
Scenic Lift Rides are available throughout the weekend from 10AM to 5PM. The last Gondola cabin heads up at 4:30PM, and guests exploring the summit should return in time for the final ride down at 4:45PM.
CLIMB Indoor Climbing Gym
Trade the mountain trails for climbing walls at CLIMB in the Stratton Village. The indoor climbing gym features auto-belay climbing and bouldering for a range of ages and abilities. Sessions last 60 minutes, and advance reservations are recommended.

Leave a little time between adventures to explore the Stratton Village. Browse summer apparel, outdoor gear, Stratton favorites, gifts and seasonal arrivals before grabbing something to eat or heading back out for another activity.
